Chapter 1: Problem and Conceptual Solution
In the opening chapter, we will outline the pains of the existing equilibrium and offer our vision of possible solutions.
In short: against the backdrop of a technological leap, the world is experiencing a public relationship crisis.
The demand for decentralization is growing. We are working on a constructor that allows you to create social relationships in a clean legal environment. We expect the platform to help humanity achieve a safer and more equitable environment. To make it all work, you need the help of "agents of change": active and caring people.
3 levels of failures
At different levels of life, each of us encounters signs of suboptimal balance in the world.
At the level of everyday life, we notice imperfections in familiar, long-standing relationships:
- Teachers in schools do not communicate with children in the best way, children at the same time have problems with academic performance.
- Supervisors and subordinates play a "power game" instead of working together ecologically and effectively and creating overall value.
- Officials tend to give citizens the runaround without trying to solve their problems.
- Customers, implementers, and business partners make promises they can not (or will not) keep.
- Prices are rising, not falling, even though progress seems to have been promised otherwise.
- Even in personal relationships, things do not always go smoothly. Fairness, empathy and kindness are perceived as rarities and exceptions to the rule rather than something naturally occurring.
At the social level, these imperfections are manifested at the level of large systems - education, healthcare, mass media, etc. anywhere in the world. None of these failures depend on a particular person from inside or outside the system:
- Difficulty in moving geographically in the world.
- Irresponsibility at the corporate level - in production, in marketing, in culture, in attitudes towards the shared future.
- School and university education that does not correspond to the reality of life.
- Difficulty diagnosing illnesses and getting quality and timely medical care.
- Inflation leveling savings and income growth.
- People's dissatisfaction with the processes that take place in the countries where they live.
At the global level “failures” lead to planetary consequences. These are:
- Climate change
- Slowing of scientific progress and the pace of implementation of useful technologies.
- The massive transition of people from the real world to the virtual.
- Legalized forms of slavery at the level of financial institutions.
- Poverty and growing inequality.
Some of these issues become less important if you are young, live in a developed country, have the right gender, skin color, and sexual orientation. And a lot of money in your bank account.
The problem as it is
What is happening here is what we call the problem of inadequate structures of social relationships. It does not matter what their size and complexity, a significant portion of these structures are not optimal for human life and cause discomfort.
The consequences of flaws in relational structures are many - from the irritation everyone sometimes experiences when they spend a long time getting a piece of paper with a stamp from a local government office to a malignant tumor that a doctor fails to find in time and that ruins their life plans.
Some will scold teachers for not being competent and teaching their children poorly. Some of the poorly educated young people in the future will become an incompetent doctor who does not notice the cancer in the patient. Some want to change everything, but go to prison instead.
Why did it happen?
We have reported on the reasons why the existing balance is disturbed in a separate article: "Escape from kindergarten". You can find it here.
In short: - People are used to delegating decisions and are unwilling to take responsibility. - Experiments with forms of social relationships are extremely costly and difficult and often end in failure. Everyone remembers what happened to the USSR. - People are fixated on solving everyday problems and do not see the bigger picture.
Demand for decentralization of relations
No one knows for sure how to create new, better functioning public institutions.
Many public institutions are already striving for more transparency and productivity and moving towards decentralisation and open data. In one form or another, many countries around the world have legislation to introduce cryptocurrencies or are attempting to decentralise some of the registers of government information.
However, when the initiative to decentralise comes from governments and the systems themselves do not include the possibility of opting out or changing, they are perceived as a form of control rather than something that people have freely chosen.
At the same time, enthusiasts, open-minded people, and even whole communities are willing to experiment with public relationships. Digital nomads, DAO and blockchain creators, Greta Thunberg's followers and other meaning innovators are offering their own vision of the world and testing approaches for themselves.
There are more than 100 million digital nomads in the world alone. They already generate an economic value of $700 billion, and development of remote working practices will dramatically increase the size of this market.
But both global citizens and change agents do not always find understandable forms of interaction in the existing legal framework. Consensus between them and government officials is still rare.
One of the limitations of decentralisation is that existing blockchain solutions are still too complex for everyday use and mass distribution, and have therefore not yet succeeded in competing with centralised systems.
Only a few crypto companies are able to bring decentralisation to the level of understanding of an ordinary citizen.
The YourJustice Solution
We have invested several thousand hours to find a solution to the accumulated tensions between social relations, freedom and the need for change. We have found an interesting vector that we believe makes it possible to resolve these contradictions in the most elegant way.
We decided to create a constructor that allows people to independently form new social relationships in a clean legal environment and transfer existing relationships to the platform. All rules are recorded in a new blockchain form that is more suitable for everyday use than smart contracts.
The constructor is based on the YJML specification we created for public relationships, which due to its flexibility allows you to implement your plans while being understandable even for a schoolchild.
The technical side of the platform will be discussed in more detail in the following chapters.
A quick overview of the platform
The result is a decentralized social network customizable through an easy-to-learn language designed specifically to describe public relations. This is a direct embodiment of the Code is Codex principle.
Here are the elements of the solution that need to be put together to make it work well:
- Tiles are those flexible descriptions of public relations of any complexity, be they the sale of cucumbers in the market, a court hearing on a high-profile case, the operation of a turnstile on the underground, or even the life of an entire country.
- Humanity is a single environment that unites all people and grants them a set of inalienable rights. Humanity also ensures the security of existing relationships in a decentralised way.
- A multi rating system allows people from different jurisdictions with different value systems to understand whether they should interact with each other.
- Courts in different jurisdictions offer everyone the opportunity to get justice in the value system they are close to, regardless of whether the defendant is on the platform or not.
- Everything for business — contracts, wallets, currency, marketplaces and so on. One can earn both from creating successful configurations of social relationships and from successfully participating in them. And there are many more options.
- An account system allows you to have an account for people and organisations (not just wallet holders). The rule of our system is 1 living person = 1 account. This rule is achieved with Pure Bio ID.
- A browser social network will allow you to move around the blockchain like a social network while discussing problems that require solutions within the community.
- Network nodes to decentralise the platform and protect it from attacks.
We devoted the second and fifth chapters of the Whitepaper to a detailed description of the platform.
Agents of changes (changemakers), that is, you!
To change humanity, one platform is not enough. We need leaders and community representatives who want change. Those who are ready:
- to create new social relationships and underlying sustainable economic models.
- to integrate these relationships with existing relationships.
In addition, there is a need to make the emerging relationships available for understanding, to bring them to every computer and phone in the world.
Concrete examples of use cases (from contracts concluded on the platform to the description of constitutional relationships) are provided in the third chapter of the Whitepaper.
What we expect and what we strive for?
We expect the emergence of a large number of sovereign communities that will discuss and describe their relationships, public services, laws and value systems. They will begin to evaluate each other and resolve conflicts in court. They will naturally build a self-sustaining economy in a decentralised environment integrated with existing blockchains.
Such communities will allow people to live by the rules they understand, believe in and agree with.
- We expect the emerging environment to be as understandable as possible for everyone: from legislators writing their proposals on the platform to schoolchildren whose socialisation is just beginning.
- We expectthat a common open-source platform will help the creators of change to join forces and shape not only the vision of a new equilibrium, but the New Equilibrium itself, into reality.
- We are also looking to establish or facilitate relationships between digital communities and existing countries that manage territories. Such an association will be very useful. It will allow countries to attract active and educated people who can bring their economies with them. In return, people will have much greater freedom to choose the territory in which they wish to reside.
- We envision that the emergence of a decentralised legal environment will change the current situation in the world and spread public consensus to the many sovereign communities that fill the infrastructure with a free economy.
- We also envision that the platform will help humanity become a safer and more just environment, and that people will become more engaged, open and free, ready to respond more quickly and efficiently to challenges of all kinds.
- We are sure: it will be fun!
